The United States joins the network: Miller & Shah becomes a BGI GLOBAL member
The BGI GLOBAL international network is now represented in the United States. Following the visit that our Vice-President for the Americas, Mr Washington Fonseca, paid to the New York offices of Miller & Shah on 16 April 2026, the firm has been admitted as a full member of the network.
A visit with a purpose
Admission to BGI GLOBAL is not decided on paper. Before any decision is taken, the network sends one of its representatives to see the candidate firm at first hand: its offices, its people and, above all, the way it works.
That is what brought Mr Washington Fonseca to New York, where he met the partners of Miller & Shah and the heads of its main practice areas. The programme included an institutional meeting with the team, a working lunch and a Gala Dinner held at the Lincoln Center, sponsored by Miller & Shah LLP
The discussions covered the points the network regards as decisive: the firm’s technical strength and institutional standards, its ability to handle cross-border matters, a strong national positioning and its willingness to play an active part in the life of the network.
A favourable decision
The report submitted by our Vice-President was favourable, and the application received the necessary support. Miller & Shah will therefore represent the United States within BGI GLOBAL.
This is a strategically important addition. New York is an essential reference point for many of the international matters handled by our member firms, and having a trusted partner there allows us to offer clients direct coverage, with no intermediaries, in one of the most demanding markets in the world.
A warm welcome
We are delighted to welcome Miller & Shah and their entire team. We look forward to meeting them in person at the XXVII Annual General Meeting, which will bring the network together in Amsterdam from 16 to 19 September.
