David Gervais

Partner

A lawyer who graduated in law from Université Laval in 2011 and has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2012, he practices mainly in the fields of labour law, including dismissal management and union relations, civil litigation with expertise in latent defects, insurance and personal injury, estate law, and business law. A committed volunteer, he has held board positions at Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi and Maison de la famille, and currently chairs the boards of Manoir Boischatel, Centre communautaire le Pivot and Fondation François-Bourrin, demonstrating his commitment to the community. Having pleaded before various administrative tribunals as well as the Court of Québec, Superior Court, and Court of Appeal, he is recognized for his attentiveness to customer needs, creativity, commitment, and results orientation.

Yves Picard

Yves Picard completed his law degree at Université Laval, where he acted as a teaching assistant in labour law, before pursuing graduate studies at the École nationale d’administration publique du Québec.
From the outset of his practice, his interest in politics and his passion for entrepreneurship strengthened his commitment to the business community in Quebec and Canada.
In addition to being Managing Partner of Picard Poitras Gervais avocats s.e.n.c., he is also dedicated to the development of PSP Légal, a multidisciplinary network of lawyers, notaries, and corporate services firms dedicated to providing quality legal and corporate services throughout Quebec and Canada.
Me Picard has uncommon expertise in labor, health, estates, construction, and real estate law, while his practice focuses primarily on business law, particularly complex corporate structures, negotiations, and transactions involving business acquisitions, sales, and mergers. His experience has also led him to publish 2 volumes specializing in labour law, namely “Les droits et libertés de la personne en milieu de travail” and “Le droit du travail municipal”.
Me Picard’s commitment to his community has led him to hold various positions as director and president of numerous organizations and financial institutions over the course of his career, including the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec and Desjardins Trust.
