James E. Miller is Managing Partner of Miller Shah LLP. He graduated from Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he received the Edwin R. Keedy Cup. He began his legal career as a Law Clerk to a United States District Judge and has practiced law since 1992. Jim focuses on financial services litigation, whistleblower representation, ERISA, securities, and complex commercial matters, and serves as outside counsel to select corporate clients. He was named Whistleblower Lawyer of the Year in 2020 by Taxpayers Against Fraud, is a Board member of IAG Global, and is Founder of International Friends of Festival Verdi in New York City. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and several federal courts of appeals, and is based in Chester, Connecticut.

Jim began his legal career as a litigator in Philadelphia before co-founding Miller Shah LLP. He focuses on whistleblower, antitrust, consumer, and insurance litigation, as well as complex commercial and employment matters. He has significant experience in corporate governance, securities, FINRA arbitrations, and both domestic and international dispute resolution. Jim is admitted to practice in California, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and before the U.S. Supreme Court. He is based in Los Angeles, California.
