Mr Mark Summerfield, President of BGI GLOBAL, paid a visit to Solomon & Co. facilities in Mumbai, from 31 July to 1 August, to meet the partners and staff.

Solomon & Co. is one of Mumbai’s oldest and most respected commercial law firms,  with offices in Fort, Bandra and Pune.

After this visit, Solomon & Co. joined BGI GLOBAL as our representative firm in India. Their rich histoy, deep local expertise and international outlook make them a perfect fit for our global network of outstanding small and medium-sized law firms. They carry out a lot of international and cross-border work.

Mark was very warmly welcomed by Managing Partner Mr Aaron Solomon and his colleagues, who prepared a detailed programme for this visit, including a tour of the old parts of Mumbai, with an excellent guide. In addition, Mark had a video call with Michelle Solomon, based in Nice (France) and also with two representatives from the Pune office.

Distinction awarded to our partner in Portugal

Our BGI Global partner in Portugal, Mr José Serrão, has been awarded the Friendship Medal by the President of the Republic of Mongolia.

Highest distinction that Mongolia awards to foreigners

This is the highest distinction that Mongolia awards to foreigners, and it has been thanks to his contribution to supporting the integration of the Mongolian community in Portugal, and also, for the work carried out in dialogue and cooperation between both countries over the last 16 years.

The ceremony was presided by the President of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia, the 4th figure of the State, who led a delegation of Judges from the Constitutional Court on a working visit to Portugal, and was attended by the Ambassador of Mongolia in France, Spain, Portugal and at Unesco.

The annual “K Epichirein 2025” premiered on Sunday, January 19 with “Kathimerini”

The virtuous cycle of the economy is not sure how long it will last, so now is the time to protect society, businesses and the economy as a whole.

In this fifth annual edition of “K Epichirein” , Kathimerini journalists collected information, recorded opinions and asked Greek and foreign experts about the outlook for the economy, economic sectors and international data to follow the events that the new year will bring.

At the same time, personalities from Greece and abroad present their assessments on the evolution of the Greek economy and companies, in an effort to make this publication a guide, as far as possible, structured for the foreseeable future.

During the reception, Mr. Fonseca had the privilege of meeting with Slovakia’s Prime Minister, Mr. Robert Fico, and the Slovakian Ambassador to Brazil, Ms. Katarina Tomkova. These high-level discussions underscored the importance of cross-border cooperation and laid the groundwork for potential collaborations between Slovakia and Brazil.

As our international network continues to cross borders, we reaffirm our mission to connect communities, enhance trade relations, and strengthen global ties. This event marks a significant step in our journey toward creating impactful international dialogues.

XXV World Conference of BGI GLOBAL: A Landmark Gathering in Berlin

From September 18 to 22, 2024, Berlin became the hub of international collaboration as it hosted the XXV World Conference of BGI GLOBAL, our renowned international network. With representatives from over 20 countries, the event marked a significant milestone in our shared commitment to excellence and innovation.

The conference was hosted by our German partner firm, vpmk Legal Services PartmbB https://www.vpmk.de/en/, which warmly welcomed all attendees. True to tradition, the first day (Wednesday) featured an informal gathering, fostering initial interactions among the participants. The working sessions on Thursday and Friday were held at the prestigious Hotel Zoo, where attendees engaged in dynamic discussions and workshops on topics such as artificial intelligence, internationalization strategies, and other pressing global issues.

Saturday offered a more relaxed agenda, as our host office organized city tours and cultural activities, providing participants with a deeper connection to Berlin’s rich history and vibrant culture.

The conference was a resounding success. Key internal matters shaping the future of our network were deliberated, and attendees had the opportunity to hear from expert speakers on cutting-edge topics. Additionally, we proudly introduced the newest firms to join our network, further enriching our global presence.

The XXV World Conference of BGI GLOBAL not only strengthened professional ties but also reaffirmed our network’s shared vision for growth and innovation in the ever-evolving global landscape.
